Standard FileMaker Backups
You can configure standard FileMaker Server backups based on your needs. These will supplement offsite backups and point-in-time snapshots and will be limited to available storage needs.
Offsite Backups
Ottomatic provides offsite backups with it's fully managed FileMaker Hosting Services. These backups are hosted in immutable storage, replicated to an additional zone, and retained for 14 days.
Backup links can be provided by opening a support ticket through our Cloud Console. Direct access to these backups will be available via the Cloud Console soon.
Point-in-Time Snapshots (Snaps)
Our point-in-time snapshots or Snaps allow for quick restoration or download of your FileMaker Apps via our Cloud Console. Snaps run every 30 minutes, working along side FileMaker progressive backups. The mounted Snaps volume is equivalent in size to the VM instance volume and will hold up to 7 days of point-in-time snapshots.
Full VM backups (disaster recovery)
For an additional cost per VM Instance, we can enable Full VM Backups. This is a complete backup of the running VM, giving the ability to roll back to either daily, every other day, weekly or monthly full VM backup. Two backups are retained per VM and these backups can be transferred to other data centers, providing enhanced disaster recovery.
OttoFMS Backups to S3
Lastly, you have the option to utilize OttoFMS to push backups off to either your configure Ottomatic Object Storage or your own S3 compatible service. Read more about it here.
